OOPs!  I missed that one!  Thanks.  That cured the problem.  I should
have looked a bit closer at the shell line.  Thanks to all of you who
came up with suggestions.  I did try them all, but the above was what I
was missing.  I'm finding that zenity is a useful little tool to use
from shell-scripts.
