According to the Mono website....
Mono supports ASP.NET 2.0, ASP.NET AJAX and a handful of 3.5 controls.
Mono's ASP.NET does not implement the following features:
Precompiled updatable web sites.
WebParts APIs.
Personally I'd suggest using a Windows system rather than a Linux one
if you must use .asp. The last thing you want to be doing is trying to
figure out why something that worked on your Linux Mono system doesn't
work on your clients Windows box.
If you want a cheap Windows VPS, http://www.thrustvps.com/ (I use
their Linux VPS's) do one from £5.95 monthly
Cheers
Chris
