If its just straight email, would you not consider googlemail instead?

I registered a domain and the domain registrant just redirects any mail 
sent to me at domain.com to my googlemail account.  Its just a case of 
configuring your email client to show the reply-to address as 
me at domain.com when you send emails.

Thats worked fine for me for the last couple of years, admitedly, I 
don't get a great deal of email.  Maybe if I did, I'd have to 
reconsider, but for personal use it does the job.
