This is a bit of an old story that has been doing the rounds for aa few 
months now. Probably being funded by MS indirectly.

When Mr. Average finds out that his version of Windows 7 on his shiny 
new Netbook will only run *three* applications simultaneously I think he 
will be rather miffed.

MS can't afford to *not* be in the netbook market but they can't really 
afford *to* be in it either. Not at <$10/machine at any rate.

Hence the lobotomised version. You will of course be able to purchase an 
upgrade at vast expense...
