On the LUG UK website (maybe you missed something?) there seems to be  
a South Derbyshire LUG which is said to be active. It looks as though  
the website redirects to the main LUG UK one, but there's a mailing  
list at https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/sderby/.
