[ubuntu-uk] get_iPlayer

Hi all

I want to save items from BBC iPlayer (radio), for later listening, especially since some of those items are too long to listen to in one go.

I tried to download the deb package for the above application from the Linuxcentre.net site where it is found. While it seems to have downloaded successfully, it will not install. I get a message that the file may be corrupt, or I do not have necessary permissions (I think I do). I also tried to install without saving, with similar results.

There seems to be no way of contacting the site owner and I am not able to find the package anywhere else.

Is this me, or have others found this, too? Is there a way around it?

Are there alternative ways of getting the job done with reasonably good quality results?

I stress it is the radio, not tv iPlayer which I am interested in.
