Might be the HDD that is having problems...
Try SpinRight form www.GRC.Com I have bought it and it DOES fix
drives. It is a small APP that you create an ISO file that you burn to
CD that you boot from.

!!Please note this app is only for "normal" HDD and not for the new
solid state flash drives!!
