Taking note of all the helpful advice I was given I have successfully installed 8.04.2 my thanks to all. Now, I hope that I will be able to go ahead and set up to get the Bamboo to work as it should. Before I go along too many blind alleys 'words of wisdom' would be very much appreciated. Norman
