By default you possibly will, although if you backup your home directory 
(basically everything in /home) you should be able to restore the 
backup.  When backing up make sure you press CTRL and H to show hidden 
files and directories (files and directories beginning with a full stop 
for instance .mozilla) as the hidden folders will contain things like 
bookmarks and other user data.
