I'm using version 1.5 of TomTom Home on Kubuntu 8.04 and it does work. The 
TomTom One is recognised as a mass storage device so just tell Wine which 
drive it is.

Don't think you're missing out on much, you can add POIs manually by browsing 
the drive and copying the files into the maps directory.
