[ubuntu-uk] evolution and gnome

Hi

I just tried on 8.10 to remove evolution but synaptic told me it would
also remove gnome and gnome desktop environment,  why would this happen,
 when i have lots of other stuff that also uses gnome.  I said no, but
is this a bug in the dependencies.
