Bleachbit does a rather good job of creating space.
/etc/var/logs is a good place to look. If /home is still on the SSD then
all your browser cache will be on there along with any mails you have
downloaded for off-line viewing also any config files for applications
that have been removed will be there in their .hiddenfile. If you are
really desperate for space you can always remove any unused xorg drivers,
after all you only really need the one video driver.
