[ubuntu-uk] USB Serial adapter

I am using 9.04 on my Acer Aspire 1690. I have purchased a USB-RS232
serial converter. dmesg shows this...

I understand that the serial device is under /dev/ttyUSB0. What I need
to do is get this to work under wine. I have a piece of amateur radio
kit that needs a standard rs232 port.

Would "LINKING" ttyUSB0 to ttyS0 work? If so how do I set this up
permanently.
