the owner (with rwx permission) of the networked FF3 profile that I 
created by copying it from the internal drive;  so I wasn't expecting a 
problem with write permissions for FF3 on the FAT32 network drive.  But 
thanks for your suggestion:  I will check this out, and if need be 
experiment with chmoding the profile.
