Yes. Remember the terminal? (Applications menu - Accessories - Terminal)

deborphan -a

...will list all packages you have on your system that are not 
dependencies of other packages (ie. all packages which are not merely 
sub-components of other packages [1]).

Don't just blindly re-install all of these packages - some may not be 
suitable for Hardy and many may just be crud that you don't use. 
Instead, pick out the ones which look most obvious and search for them at:

http://packages.ubuntu.com/

...to confirm that they are what you want.

Remember, the vast majority of packages you've already got installed by 
default in Gutsy will also be installed by default in Hardy.

[1] Not strictly a good analogy, but sufficient for these purposes.
