Sure I'll help if you want. I primarily use a Windows PC (booo) but only
because I need it for Microsoft Word etc and Gaming. You could always try
speech-to-text (recognition) maybe - quicker than transcribing it.

Just a note on the me using a Windows PC bit, I have all the disks for
Ubuntu 7.10 and 8.04, but my dad won't let me install dual-boot at the
moment because 'he doesn't trust Linux being reliable, and it doesn't have
the same compatibility as Windows (like printers etc)' - I'm trying to swing
him round, but he's a bit reluctant to say the least. If anyone can find
drivers for a Canon MP780 Series Printer then that'd be really helpful!

I could probably do one. Spelling is not one of my strengths, but with
aspell installed, it should be cool.
Is there any particular format or layout required? You say plain text, but
even then a common layout could be useful in case it is to used for other
formats in the future.
