I see Tesco are now selling Dells... huge pile of them in my local branch.

No idea on how successful would be with Linux, but I have to admit
I've not had any great issues lately with any laptops - though
interestingly Hardy decided it needed firmware downloading for a
wireless card that installed itself on Feisty.
