I should add that VirtualBox seems to have installed OK in (System 
Tools);  I've added myself and root to virtualbox in Users and Groups; 
and the app starts and seems to run OK (though I haven't tried setting 
up a new machine yet - don't have a couple of hours to spare right now!).
