Yep.  I purged everything.  firefox, firefox-2, firefox-3.0.  I checked 
everywhere I could think of to confirm that.  They were GONE. Yet when I 
reinstalled, there were the add-ons...  *still* "waiting to be 
uninstalled after Firefox is restarted".

I've been using Firefox-3 for ages.  No problem.  Then suddenly today it 
started crashing.  Now I seem to have totally screwed everything up and 
I can't even start again with a clean slate because there's some data 
that FF stores that I can't find.
