Hi folks,
I've been given a old Thrust Master steering wheel which is for the PC
and has a 15-pin connection on it. Now I'm not really much of a gamer
myself and my new PC doesn't have a game port so I figured I'd let the
kids use it for things like Tux Racer on their PC.
I've plugged the steering wheel in and booted the machine up into Ubuntu
7.10 but I can't seem to get it to work. I've checked the obvious
things like the BIOS. The game port is enabled in the BIOS but I can't
find a js* device in /dev/input/
I've tried manually loading modules (joydev, ns558 and analog) but I
can't seem to get anything working. I've also tried creating the device
using MAKEDEV.
I just wondered if there was something I'm missing?
I'm not sure if it makes any difference but the PC has a VIA chipset and
the sound/game port is on board.
Ta,
Rob
