Is there a good UK hosting service on the lines of OpenSourceHost?

Or similar?
I would like to start a web site and eventually use thing like Moodle, 
Plone,  and their asssociated script php  etc
I assume U.S. providers are bound by US law etc and that's far too scary 
for me :-) plus I like to shop locally if possible.
Can anybody suggest UK sites/companies or make recommendations?
