Hmmm... I'd probably fall largley in the "Mainstream Advocate" group... 
but have to admit, on the occasions where I need to run models/program 
stuff I fall into the "Open Source Programmer" group, certainly for any 
models related to my Uni course where OSS libraries make life much much 
easier.
