Do you need a full-on router? (ie. firewall, NAT, built in switch etc)

If not, an Apple Express base station would do the job if all you need to do is bridge the wireless back to wired. 

Not sure if you'd be able to configure either from Ubuntu though (there's no web interface).

Another alternative would be the ethernet-over-mains boxes. IME (Zyxel PLA-401) they work very well.
