I'd be inclined to say no, but put them on lug.org.uk (which has a news 
syndication page) as this kind of thing isn't ubuntu specific.

You can email news/events to the lugmaster list, or use the contact form on 
the site.

If you are interested in posting news articles like this yourself I suspect 
that we can probably create an ID in drupal for you to submit news like 
this which would then be approved by a mod (in the same way the fridge does 
for Ubuntu stories.
