Everyone has their own opinions on this but I prefer to just
dist-upgrade. I've had more problems from keeping old ~/. configs that
new versions wont use correctly etc. and I've had very little in the way
of issues dist-upgrading right from Dapper through dev Edgy / Feisty.

I know each to their own but its another point of view :)
