[ubuntu-uk] dual boot

So, just to clarify things:

Your computer currently has XP installed as its only operating system and that is on an "ide" connected hard drive.

You also have a CD drive, also connected via an "ide" connection?

You have an SATA drive that you want to introduce to the machine to run Ubuntu from?

Is that correct?

No,it is the other way round, IDE with XP ATA with Ubuntu.

Which connection do you mean by first, the one nearest the CD drive or
nearest to the mother board?
