[ubuntu-uk] problems upgrading

Hi there I am reporting something here:

The Service Settings comes up blank
Update Manager does not respond to the click

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to
correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.
