Although this isn't what needs to be done.

You need to download and execute the file at the URL. This could be done
by:

wget http://www.linux-sound.info/alsa/scripts/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x \
 alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh

Then, follow the directions on-screen :)
