Sorry all, just realised I pounced into life on this list without doing the
normal hi there! post.  So here it is.

Hi there!

I'm not an IT professional and was only introduced to Linux by a fellow
commuter on the train into Birmingham who said why not and come and see us,
and if you like it you can do something with it; so I did and I did.  So
I've been under the inflence of the penguin for just under a year now.

My 9 to 5 is anything but as I work for a large global convergent solutions
company that is a well known household name.  My specialisum is in the
Service arena dealing particularly with client relations and trouble
shooting.

I have always sat on the sidelines in the past, but due to various
happenings last year, I've climbed the crowd control fence and jumped onto
the pitch, and here I am.

I will apologise now to all and sundry if my style of writing offends or
gets annoying, but again, that's me!
