I am trying to find a suitable editor for creating my web page but I am
not sure what to go for.
I have tried a DOS editor which is supposed to work under Linux but it
needs something other than Dosemu. I have tried writing my pages in
Openoffice Writer but although I can create a hyperlink to my email
address I can't link my other Internal pages via the same menu option.
I have tried Bluefish but although it does some work as regards HTML
tags it doesn't put all the most important ones in the document ie the
document type which it seems is required these days. I tried writing my
pages in Raw HTML in the editor under accessories but when I go into my
browser in Windows I don't see my email link even if the tag is there.
I basically use Firefox in Windows to check to see if my pages link as
Firefox in Linux is not yet fully accessible with speech as I don't use
the latest Ubuntu which is the test version or have the Bleeding Edge
version of the Orca screenreader for use with the latest Firefox and I
haven't found a way of opening local pages in Lynx so I can view my HTML
pages in Linux.
What would anyone suggest?
Am I having problems saving raw HTML in G-Edit because something needs
setting which is why my email form doesn't work properly?
I read something about the Mac text editor you have to go into format
and select an option to have HTML saved as text format or something so
is this same in Linux if I were to write Raw HTMl?
