Looking at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Athlon_XP and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Athlon_64 it would appear that the Athlon
XP2000+ is 32bit.

As to the other questions, you might do better on the ubuntu forums at
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/ as that is more geared up to support (and
has more folks!) that this mailing list.  Try searching for
"fullscreen video" - it brings up some potentially useful threads.
