I thought I would pass this on to the list, its from a BNI member who 
asked me to install Ubuntu for him to go and expereince. He stood up 
yesterday and for the second time in as many months he commented that 
the work of the free and open source community, windows or linux, was 
"absolutely" worth taking seriously since theres little he has been 
unable to achieve with Ubuntu that he did not previously do in windows, 
except constant reboots of course. so heres a copy of the testimonial 
from Paul Shepard . The work and effort we do in the UKTeam is 
constantly reported back to chapter ( BNI ) members who are genuinely 
interested in the how and why Open Source works . This is Ubuntu , how 
the effort that each of us makes in the UKTeam leads to a positive 
experience for someone not even connected to the list.

I want to thank you for the work you have done installing the Ubuntu 
system on my lap top.
I have followed with great interest, the information on open source 
software you have been passing to us at the BNI meetings and having 
become very interested in the Linux based systems and what they can 
offer over Microsoft.
I have spent years learning how to correct Microsoft problems now only 
to find I may not have had these problems at all with Linux.
I am very keen to start again and learn what Ubuntu systems can offer. I 
also intend to promote this system as I know many of my friends and 
colleges do not know the benefits they are missing.
