A gui editor for grub boot menu, and a pretty gui display for dual 
boot screen when starting up. A major target audiance for k/ubuntu is 
the existing but slightly dissatisfied win users, and the existing 
text based display at dual boot looks like it is stone age stuff. 
Also if they have kubuntu or edubuntu etc, the grub offering still 
states ubuntu (the same kernel I guess?).
