this is ok if the newcomer has a basic single hd etc. If they have
two, or have any other complication, they will use the manual option
on the Desktop CD (I always do this now) and the gparted, including
Commit, and mount and partition choices, including which needs to be
formatted. Some of this is not intuitive to the early user - it was
not to me  - partly because the display puts mounts to the left and
partitions to the right, and to my uninformed thinking, the choice of
partitions comes first, then a decision about where to mount happens.
This really confused me at first and I am not a complete beginner.

It is not urgent, and I may have a go at it myself with a series of
screenshots.
