It may be terrible but is it surprising. They bleat on about voter
apathy and low election turnout while they sit comfortable in their
leather chairs and do as little as possible.
I suppose we have only ourselves to blame - there are a lot of
'campaigners' out there all to willing to mail a pre-written form letter
to their MP.
This is why we need PR, when there's a bit of a lottery and no such
thing as a 'safe' seat, they might work a bit harder. They don't want
PR while it serves them. It is interestiing that the opposition parties
always seem to be more in favour or PR than the party in power.
Vote for me - I wouldn't treat my constituents with contempt, no sir
never :-)
Ow!! that's the problem with soap boxes, I always slip on the soap and
bang my head :-)
