[ubuntu-uk] Reading FAT32 and NTFS

I've just returned to Linux after quite a few years.
I'm enjoying playing with diff distros at the moment in an attempt to
decide on which to settle.
Trying Xandros 3 & Ubuntu 5.04 presently.
Ubuntu seems to run the smoother of the two on my Sony Vaio so would
like to try it a little longer.

My Question;
Can I read the NTFS and FAT32 Partitions on the the same drive?
If so someone please tell me how, I started off with Xandros and the KDE
GUI is different from Gnome and I'm not used to it yet!

Treat me as a newbie until my brain recalls from years back ( it was so
different then )
