Can you guys think of a good place to meet? If we're only 4 or 5 I
suggest a public place like a caffee or bar (or whatever is more
relevant), but if we are more it's probably best to find a suitable
location.
Should we try to find a date that works for everyone? I created a
first doodle - for the moment only on weekends around the release
date: <a href="http://doodle.com/m43b8k7zhamqqwkh" target="_blank">http://doodle.com/m43b8k7zhamqqwkh</a>
If it doesn't work for a release party, let's find another date that
works for everyone!
Take care,

<pre>Sure comrades,
Since 2008 I have influenced more than 20 people to run Ubuntu, and more
than 10 still use it as the main OS. We need a release party, currently I
run Ubuntu 13.10, but I have a plan to dual boot with OpenSuse. I have tried
a lot of other distros too, I used to have a partition just for that.
I will suggest Dar es Salaam too.
Cheers,
Stephen

<pre>Great!
Well, as far as Windows XP users are concerned, they should really
switch *soon* since the last security update from Microsoft goes out
on April 8th :)
<a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/enterprise/end-of-support.aspx" target="_blank">https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/enterprise/end-of-support.aspx</a>
So no matter if the switch to Ubuntu or anything else, they should
really, really switch (and not become botnet zombies polluting
bandwidth for the rest of us) :)
A good opportunity for Open-souce!

Nice!
There seems to be a lot of Ubuntu users in Tanzania - my ISP also runs
Ubuntu almost everywhere.
Unfortunately I realize most of them are in Dar :)
Hope we can organize a meetup someday!
