Hallo guys,
First of all I would like to introduce me, as some of you may not know
who I am.
At the moment I "work" and work as a computer teacher at the "Pandahill
Secondary School" in Songwe (near Mbeya) and will stay here till
August/September 2009. My country of origin is good ol´ Germany and if
you would like to know more about me just ask. :-)
Back to topic:

@Own page for every member: Pretty good idea. Maybe everybody could just
write a short text about himself, so that our visitors get a basic
overview of the people behinde the page.

@Geographical data software: If there is any progress in terms of
running this software on GNU/Linux, we could write a short HowTo about
this. As far as I know Africa still lacks some basic geographical input,
so that this could be helpful to everybody working in this field of science.

Many Greetings
Lukas

P.S: Unfortunately we have a damn slow Internet connection here in
Songwe, so that I may not write as frequently as I could do in Europe.
P.S2: At the moment I´m fighting hard with my "HUAWEI ETS 2288" from
TTCL to convince it to work with Ubuntu. I´m doing some progress at the
moment. Is anybody interested in a HowTo about getting this Modem to
work with GNU/Linux?
