Well the ubuntu-tt facebook group is already quite lively and its good to see that they have something to say almost everyday.
Demonstrations are good, have you ever offered training at your cafe? That's would be a good asset for the local linux community.
Right now what ubuntu-tt needs (and the local floss community) is activity. And I mean real juicy stuff not just then casual post here and there. As far as I can see it looks like it has the most potential amongst local computer groups and it would be a shame to see that waste.
If we get more people involved and collaborating who knows what we could do next?

My two cents,
While I am all in favour of the principles of Launchpad there are a great
deal of people who have no idea what Ubuntu or Linux is never mind the
benefits of the OS both commercially and otherwise.
browwwsers has been a proponent of Linux since 1997, and we have had
moderate success converting businesses to a Linux Desktop and Server (by
extension) environment.
My point here is that we have an opportunity to inform the public of what
we have found out, one way or another.
How do we do this?
i would be happy to let newbies experience Ubuntu here since we have
converted the entire cybercafe (servers and clients) to Ubuntu over two
years now (ent Kurt) and i take great pride in telling you that the clients
run all apps with a minimum of problems and these are machines that are
between AMD 3200 -Duron 950 old with 512 -1g max of RAM.
We can show firewalls running pfsense, fileservers running Ubuntu server
(Alternate), and soon an Ubuntu CCTV system, maybe we can even set up a
Myth box to demonstrate practical home applications.
That would be the show part, the tell part would involve FB, YT and Twitter
with a website, which i will do freely design and host with CMS for updates
by the group.
The thinking here is that out of the many that we would interest there
would be a migration by the interested to the Launchpad progression. i see
this group emanating from the schools say 18 - 30 demographic (hopefully
wider).
Well thats my two cents, please comment.
Best regards,
Allan Samlalsingh
