msgstrs had incompatible formatting directives, e.g. translating <br>"file not found" as "%s not found."<br><br>We've just completed a full gettext check of all active Ubuntu releases. <br> Any messages that failed gettext's format-string checks were disabled. <br> In cases where the problem was only in a Launchpad-specific <br>translation, we've reverted to the upstream translations.<br><br>For Hardy, 1,780 messages were disabled and 239 ones from upstream <br>re-enabled. In 26 cases the upstream message was different but also <br>failed the check.<br><br>For Intrepid, 1,520 messages were disabled and 376 ones from upstream <br>re-enabled. In 30 cases the upstream message was different but also <br>failed the check.<br><br>For Jaunty, 1,506 messages were disabled and 299 ones from upstream <br>enabled. In 26 cases the upstream message was different but also failed <br>the check.<br><br>The number of messages checked was
