Welcome! There is also a list and a wiki page for the Spanish
translators with complete instructions and guidelines:

Usually, our work as translators is to go to launchpad.net and
translate program strings to Spanish. Newcomer translations are
reviewed by members of language teams. When the translations are
regarded as high quality, translators can join the teams and are
granted the privilege to translate without reviews.
