JSON is a data structure, simplification of XML -

This is the data structure of the translation file for Windows.

Login.cab is a file that resides in the same folder as Skype.exe and
contains the translation string of some of the strings needed for Skype.
CAB is a cabinet file, a proprietary compressed file format based upon
several other compression methods such as LZX and DEFLATE for example.

So lets just forget about the JS and JSON etc.

Yes, better than reverse engineering the CAB file.

Besides adding a small script in a PPA I'm not sure there's anything we can
do because the installation of Skype for Linux will never suggest
installing the additional languages so simplicity should be the name of the
game.
