Hi,

Yes, the imports should be made. But some things may be broken even in  
release [1].

Locale update process in somewhat conservative and closely tied to Debian.  
The last changes to langpack-locales are dated back to 03-2013 [2]. I  
think it's automatic as it is mainly Debian package.

So it may happen that locale will not be updated up to 14.04 release.

Just my 2 cents.
