Ubuntu documentation translation into Portuguese

Hello all
I´m relatively new here in this world of Ubuntu translation (i've used it
for years as user) and I would like to ask what are the necessary steps to
start translating Ubuntu documentation into Portuguese
I've already contributed several times in Launchpad but now I have a laptop
that was shipped  to me with Ubuntu (for my surprise, here in Portugal the
major part of the sistems are shipped with Windows and optimized to run
that OS so install Ubuntu on it may be frustrant) and I would like to start
contribute in the translation of the documentation
