Hey Adam,

Thanks for the quick reply on this.

Cool :)

Because we only ship the translations in the files we ship with yelp in
the distro.

There is support in the ubuntu-docs code by means of a script (or in the
makefile) to generate translated HTML. However, and I'm assuming that
the server guide will be made available in help.ubuntu.com,
internationalization support is disabled in that site. This is something
we've been discussing intermittently for quite a while, and from the
feedback I've had on the lists and at UDS from LoCos and translation
teams, it is something they'd really want, although we haven'T quite
managed to unblock the discussion.

Regarding the PDF, I don't recall having seen any script or rule to
build translated PDF files in the sources. Depending on how you generate
the PDF, it might also not be possible to build all translations (I seem
to recall that fop does not support font shaping, necessary for Arabic,
some Indic languages and probably some more).

We should figure out what needs to be done to build translations for
those two targets, and then work on a way forward. Could you try to
build translated documentation in both of those formats and report back
the outcome (it work/it didn't work would be enough for a start).

Regards,
David.
