Thanks for the heads up, Jochen and Iñigo.

For those interested in tracking it or contributing, I commented on the
bug [1] and submitted some fixes in Gwibber upstream.

Regarding the Ubuntu package, now we've got a template at:

  https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/gwibber

Until that bug is fixed upstream (or at least on the Ubuntu package),
there might be some strings which are not yet translatable, though.
