Hello Khaled,
This is interesting information.
I use Lokalize with svn - git (offline) when I work for Gnome-nl and 
KDE-nl. I can make a reservation
there and files are merged when I upload a file with corrections or new
translations. This could be a good alternative for the ubuntu-manual (as 
from Natty).
For other packages we, Ubuntu Dutch Translators, will stick to LP 
because online translation has its advantages.
In the new year I plan to list all the useful suggestions in one new 
thread to make it easier to find solutions.
