Ubuntu initscripts

Hi, 

Is there a way I can translate the Ubuntu initscripts so the users can
see all the starting and stopping of services in their own language
while booting or shutting down the machine. I've done this for Fedora
some years ago, but I can't find a PO file for translating this for
Ubuntu. Can these messages be translated for Ubuntu and if yes where can
I find the PO file?
