All of this... My ex-husband is an arborist, and his  prices  are definitely on  the  high  end of  the scale. But he is really, really  good  at what  he does,  he  has ample insurance,  and he pays his  employees  very  well so  that he  attracts good and  qualified  people. His customers stay with him for years because they know  they are in great hands, they trust him, like him, etc. 


If it is a  tricky job in  any way, like  taking  down the  tree  near buildings or power lines, I would probably steer away from the  cheapest company. I've seen  some budget rate tree companies do some really sketchy, cringe-inducing things over the years.
