[ubuntu-tn] La fin de Unity !

Hey!

I believe that's a good move..

Since Unity was released, it helped the company and the community to
innovate, without Unity there is no Ubuntu Phone and convergence, without
Ubuntu Phone there is no Ubuntu Core and snaps there, also Unity was behind
Mir, we like it or not, if Canonical never announced Mir, other distro
would probably keep ignoring Wayland and keep using the old "stable" Xorg..

As we all know, many distros already migrated to Wayland because the
community was pushing forward to have a better display server than Mir..

As we can conclude, by 18.04, Ubuntu will not use Mir, but it'll use
Wayland as default display server..

But, that does not mean in any way that Unity and Ubuntu Phone (same for
Mir maybe) are dead.. First, because they are FOSS projects, so interested
users will find a way to fork them or even contribute to them and keep them
alive.. Second, the UBport Developer already announced[0] that he'll not
give up on both projects..

At the end, that's business (don't forget Canonical is a company, and it
need to gain money) and that's how IT works.. The bright side in the story
that we're not talking about any regular IT business, it's the FOSS field,
projects born, projects died, projects get forked, etc.. And that's what
makes the FOSS field the innovation field! With people/community power
comes innovation.. ;-)
